It was one year ago today that Kirby was "put to sleep". A term I hate. It feels like it was just yesterday.  This past year wasn't easy.  This coming year doesn't feel like its going to be any easier.  Maybe it will be. People keep asking if I'll get another dog.  No.  Too soon.  I don't want to go through that again yet.  Goognight Kirby.  Wish I was there.

Christmas just isn't the same without you Kirby.  It pretty much sucks.

Way back in the day, church bells used to be... well... bells.  Now, at 6pm and 6am all I hear in this God forsaken town are fake PA amp sounding church bells.. often times they play a whole tune.  Sounding fake and pathetic.. just like the rest of the mamby pansy modern age of quick and easy.  There is one Church that still uses a real bell.  And I really like hearing it ring.  I can picture the world a hundred and fifty years ago, heathens with guns strapped to their sides, shots of whiskey in their hands, and the sound of the bell..

I live in a small town.  But every single nice day the pleasant quiet you'd expect to hear is buried in the incessant droning of lawnmowers.  It's seems there's always somebody within earshot cutting their grass.  What is with this grass cutting obsession anyways?  Most of these people are NEVER out in their yards anyways.  The only time they go out is to cut the grass.  Why not just plant some trees and let the grass go wild?

The government has a genius plan to load the burden of all the bad home investments onto tax payers.  Way to go.  Once again the rich and the elite will benefit from the work the common man does.  Oh, that's sarcasm in case you didn't get it.  All those who hold investments in the sinking mortgage companies, all those idiots who paid way too much for their houses and got loans for with interest only payments and all the realtors and appraisers.. they all get a free ride now.  So why is it they all shouldn't pay for their own stupidity?  Why should we have to bail them out?  

FOR THE CASH FLOW INVESTOR OR FIRST TIME HOME BUYER... now.. does that have overpriced crappy written all over it or what?  Freaking geniuses at work.. sigh.

You can't trust anbyody.  This is a rule you can live by.

So if the economy goes bust.. the fed has free reign to buy up all the banks cheap?  Just how is that fair? Lehman Dies .

I've discovered the meaning of life.. we're born, we do stuff, we die.  Get used to it.

So I've finally noticed that I'm not getting any tweets (twitter) or jaiku messages on my IM client.  So I dig around and find that both of those micro blog services have discontinued IM service.  Great, thanks guys for informing somehow.. like maybe a message sent my way or something?  Anyways, I guess it's not that important since I have exactly one friend I follow on those services combined.
